E-Set Striker, Dhaka ICT Association and Jabra Pancast are in the last eight
Neymar Warriors, Aura Technologies and last-time champions Team Auras were eliminated from the tournament on the first day's matches in B-Track ICT Cricket. And on the second day, Star X Tigers, Motijheel Super Kings and Excel Royals had to leave the ground. As a result, E-Set Striker, Dhaka ICT Association and Jabra Pancast have been able to secure the quarter finals.
In the last match of the second day, Jabra Panakast set a target of 219 runs by picking up 4 wickets in the specified over against Excel Royals. Md. Russell Ahmed Sukkur was the Man of the match by getting 101 runs with the bat and 3 wickets with the ball. In this match Jabra Russell scored 61 runs from 27 balls and Kajal of E-set scored 50 runs.
At the end of this great match, BCS vice-president and convener of ICT Cricket Tournament 2023 Rashed Ali Bhuiyan and Tulsi Kumar Saha, Chief Sales Officer, Excel Technologies Limited handed over the Man of the Match crest and the dummy prize money token to Shukkur.
In the other match of the day, Dhaka ICT Association confirmed the quarter final by defeating Motijheel Super Kings. Mehrab Hossain Jossi, the captain of the winning team, was the man of the match by scoring 54 runs off 21 balls. Dhaka ICT Association stopped Motijheel Super Kings by 89 runs with excellent bowling in the first innings. In response, Motijheel Super Kings snatched the victory by picking up just one wicket in the second ball of 7 overs.
In the first match of the second day, E-Set Strikers faced Star X. E-Set Spikers captain Rayhan won the toss and decided to bowl. As a result, Star X captain Asim started batting with teammate John. But John was clean bowled in the first over by Sohel the runner. Rana alone hunted 4 wickets. However, the captain brought the biggest collection of 59 runs from 45 balls. In addition, Sujan scored 22 runs from 24 balls and Life scored 21 runs from 16 balls. At the end of 16 overs, Star X managed to score 123 runs in 7 wickets.
E-set striker Sohail Rana and Sajedar Rahman got off to a flying start with the bat to chase 128 runs. The third ball of the second over took the team to a half century. Sajedur was caught by the wicket keeper Shahriar Dipu for the team's 61 runs. However, Saeed Sarkar brought victory to the team in the 8th over by hitting a six with 5 wickets in hand. E-Set Strikers' Sohail Rana was Man of the Match by showing the best skill of the match.
At the end of the game, BCS President Engineer Subrata Sarkar handed over the man of the match prize money token and crest.
Dhaka ICT Association will face Exhibitors Roar in the first match of the quarter final at the Shyamoli Club ground on February 28 afternoon. Techland Titans will also face Inpace in the first half of the day. At noon, the Global Avengers will play against The King. Today's winners will compete in the semis.
